Ty Dolla $ign has been working on a new instalment to his fan-favorite series, Beach House, which is really the series that started putting him on the map too, so we’re thinking this will be a return to form of sorts. Beach House 3 just received a release date, too, to make things even more exciting. The project is slated for release on October 27th, and today, he debuts a new single off the project that features fellow r’n’b singer Jeremih, “Dawsin’s Breek.” The song was just premiered on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe.
“Dawsin’s Breek,” a uniquely spelled titled that of course is meant to recall ’90s teenage drama Dawson’s Creek, is an exciting musical adventure between the two singers. That’s really the best way to describe it; there’s stuttering production that is light but riddled with the ticking of closed hi-hats, while Ty Dolla explores different flows and vocal experiments, at points he seems to be mimicking the stutter of the beat with his flow. It’s very dope, and it’s definitely enough to get us excited for Beach House 3. What about you?
Following the song premiere, Ty chops it up with Zane about the upcoming album and the contributors on it. Ty references “Love U Better,” a single he previously leaked that has somehow gone under-the-radar for the most part, as one of the most exciting collaborations he’s done since it’s with two of his personal favorite artists. He’s also released “So Am I” two weeks back with Damien Marley and Skrillex, however in addition to those big names, you can expect contributions from Mike WiLL Made It, Future, Swae Lee (those three all team up for one song called “Don’t Judge Me”), YG (who will appear on a record titled “Ex”) and more. This sounds like it’s shaping up to be an extra dope release from Ty.
